Service Made Simple:
Service Made Simple (SMS) is a premium service program, available in NA and EMEA, for nearly all Honeywell Scanning & Mobility products.
Available only at time of product purchase, or within 30 days of receipt of product, SMS includes:
- 3 year or 5 year program
- 1 business day turnaround at Honeywell depot on hand-held and hands-free scanners
- 3 business day turnaround at Honeywell depot on mobility products
- Full Comprehensive Coverage for normal wear & tear and accidental breakage
- Engineering changes & firmware upgrades included
- Freight paid both ways
In addtion to SMS, there are 3 additional add-ons which can be purchased when ordering SMS 5-years:
- Advanced Exchange: Eliminate repair time by having Honeywell stock a swap pool and send out an exchange unit in advance while the broken unit is being repaired
- Battery Management: Maximise operation time by ensuring batteries are kept at peak performance. Failing battering are replaced by Honeywell at no extra cost
- Quaterly Reporting: Stay in control of product repair data and understand common issues occuring in the field which could be avoided by receiving quarterly repair data
Post Sales Contract: Currently only available on select products.

- Extended coverage for normal wear and use
- Discounted repairs on any breakages such as accidental damage
Factory/Extended Warranty: For customers who are only interested in factory warranty extensions, you can extend your products' factory warranty in yearly increments up to a total of five years. Available for both upfront and post-sales purchase.
- Factory Warranty: 10-15 business day turnaround at Honeywell depot, not guaranteed
- Extended Warranty: 10 business day turnaround at Honeywell depot, guaranteed
- Covers manufacturing and parts defects
- Service report with repair
Non-Warranty/ Non-Contract:
- 10-15 business day turnaround at Honeywell depot (not guaranteed)
- Flat rate repair charges apply to all repairs
- Units are returned to factory specs
- Repair performed by Honeywell technician
- Online RMA portal for easier management, with no need to organise freight carriers
