Environmental Mission Statement:
Honeywell is deeply committed to our environment and preserving our natural resources for generations to come. Our pledge to operate with integrity applies to all aspects of our business, including our proud and rich history of serving the communities in which we operate. Honeywell will always work to comply with local laws regarding our manufacturing and disposal processes.
Waste Electrical and Electronic Equipment - WEEE
WEEE is the Waste Electrical and Electronic Equipment directive 2002/96/EC that makes the producer responsible for product disposal. WEEE requires that producers of electronic equipment who sell into EU countries:
- Label their equipment to notify customers that it needs to be recycled
- 2. Take back the equipment from customers at end of life
- 3. Finance its recycling and re-use
The WEEE directive takes effect on August 13, 2005 and manufacturers must meet target objectives for recycling by December 2006.
Read the EU directive for more information.
Information on where to take your products to be recycled as per the WEEE directive, please click on the relevant country in the map on the right.
If you have questions on how these compliance mandates may impact your business, please contact Honeywell Scanning & Mobility at: greeninitiative@honeywell.com Subject EU WEEE Recycling
