Commercial and government supply chains will find the IV7 forklift-mountable RFID reader system ideal for pick and putaway applications. Simply attach the IV7 to a supported Honeywell fixed vehicle mount computer via an RS-232 cable.
Delivering the flexibility of “read where you need,” the IV7 is the only UHF RFID reader designed specifically for mounting on forklifts and other industrial vehicles.
Built to withstand the rigors of harsh, industrial environments. Features a rugged cast aluminum alloy housing, sealed to IP65.
The Honeywell vehicle mount computer acts as the local host, and provides network management and security.
Enterprises often need the flexibility to read RFID tags in certain and not-so-certain locations. The IV7 Vehicle Mount RFID Reader offers two key benefits:
If you work in a commercial or government supply chain, then you’ll find the IV7 reader ideal for your pick and putaway applications. The Honeywell vehicle mount computer can command the IV7, equipped with a location tag-sensing antenna, to scan for RFID tags when a pallet is picked up.
The IV7 captures not only the location of the pallet pick up, but also the doorway it passed through, the path the forklift traveled, and where the pallet was placed.
The vehicle mount computer’s wireless capability combined with the IV7 device’s snappy reads will automatically update your warehouse management system. You’ll capture location status as the truck moves through tag-equipped zones, and shelf location data when the pallet is dropped off or retrieved.
The IV7 reader’s cast aluminum housing has built-in cable strain relief features. With pre-drilled holes in the base plate, it’s designed for either U-bolt or flexible strap attachment to many makes of fork trucks.
And you can mount the IV7 reader in any position on the vehicle within 3.5 m (10 ft) of the vehicle battery or power source.
