Honeywell EDGE 2016 Delivers Australian Supply Chain Insights

The Honeywell EDGE 2016 Australian User Conference recently brought together the leading supply chain professionals from across Australia and New Zealand for key educational presentations to improve logistics operations now and into the future.

Professor Neville Norman presented an important and humorous industry update looking at key business drivers in the economy and how that may impact on supply operations in his ‘Macro economic outlook in Australia and New Zealand.’

An Australian building products leader provided a different perspective of a supply chain technology deployment – the customer experience. The presentation was about a customer’s perspective of voice enabling the distribution centre and the safety benefits gained.

Senior international Honeywell technology experts were on hand at EDGE 2016 speaking about a range of pertinent industry topics, including:

  • Boosting productivity, reducing costs for Transport and Logistics
  • Improving current operations to drive business benefits
  • Leveraging analytics to drive supply chain business operations

The conference also featured a Honeywell solution centre where participants could learn more about solutions relevant to their businesses.

“The Honeywell EDGE 2016 User Conference gave industry professionals the opportunity to hear first-hand from supply chain organisations how they adopted technology to drive productivity and business benefits. From updates on technology, industry business trends, to project insights from key partners presenting on the topic of 'Vital freight infrastructure’ and ‘Automation systems’, attendees gained invaluable insights and learnt what industry best practice is today,” said Matthew Vaughn, Head of Marketing, Honeywell Sensing & Productivity Solutions.

EDGE 2016 was held in Melbourne and sponsored by Microsoft, Wavelink and Manhattan Associates.
