Overview
The Geostationary Earth Orbit Local User Terminal-600 (GEOLUT-600) processes 406 MHz distress beacon alerts over geostationary satellites, and provides rapid notification to search and rescue (SAR) authorities worldwide. It’s part of an integrated and comprehensive SAR solution from Honeywell Global Tracking. The GEOLUT Antenna is a fixed parabolic antenna that operates in up to 110 km/hour winds. The antenna allows GEOLUT terminals to receive distress alerts relayed through a single COSPAS-SARSAT GEOSAR satellite. This robust device offers high parabolic accuracy and has an RF feed assembly suitable for receiving and downconverting the GEOSAR downlink signal.
Fast Detection
GEOLUT-600 systems detect emergency alerts within seconds in each coverage area, making it possible to start your SAR efforts immediately.
Advanced Signal Processing
Using noise-reducing signal processing, GEOLUT systems can minimize alert errors, leading to more efficient use of SAR resources.
Flexible
GEOLUT-600 systems are fully configurable, making it possible to precisely match the needs of customers.
Standards Compliant
GEOLUT-600 terminals meet and exceed the official COSPAS-SARSAT requirements.
Seamless Integration
Ease-of-integration into existing SAR systems saves you time and money.
Rugged
The GEOLUT antenna’s reinforced mount is corrosion-resistant, providing years of maintenance-free use.
Works in up to 110 km/hour Winds
The antenna’s mount is so stable that it enables the antenna to operate in winds of up to 110 km/hour – a crucial requirement during high wind conditions that typically lead up to emergency situations.
Field-Proven
Our GEOLUT antenna technology has been proven in operational use on many satellite ground station installations around the world, minimizing the risk of interrupted SAR operations.
Product Details
With its advanced signal processing technology and custom designed software, GEOLUT-600 offers you 24-hour automatic monitoring and reporting of distress alerts over large territories.
GEOLUT-600 systems are fully configurable. They also exceed COSPAS-SARSAT data analysis requirements, providing fast ambiguity resolution in emergency situations.
You can use the GEOLUT-600 in conjunction with data from Low Earth Orbit (LEO) satellites in a dual mode LEO-GEO system. This provides you with unrivalled processing capabilities and reduces SAR response times.
The GEOLUT-600 terminal and antenna equip SAR operators to quickly collect key information about beacons. This initial process can often identify false alarms prior to the retrieval of precise beacon location data from the LEOSAR system. It also ensures that SAR resources will only be used for actual emergencies.
The GEOLUT terminal and antenna are part of an integrated and comprehensive search and rescue solution from Honeywell Global Tracking, a global leader in the development of search and rescue technology. We’ve been pioneers in the field for over 30 years. That’s a level of commitment and expertise you can trust.
