Overview
The Medium Earth Orbit Local User Terminal-600 (MEOLUT-600) processes 406 MHz distress beacon alerts over next-generation medium earth orbit satellites, and provides rapid notification to search and rescue (SAR) authorities worldwide. It’s part of an integrated and comprehensive SAR solution from Honeywell Global Tracking. The MEOLUT Antenna is a 2.3 m (7.5 ft) mesh radome antenna that operates in up to 200 km/hour winds. It allows MEOLUT terminals to track medium earth orbit satellites with minimal risk of interrupted search and rescue operations.
Fast New Medium-Earth Orbit Technology
The MEOLUT-600 terminal bridges existing geostationary and low-earth orbit infrastructure and can confirm the location of an emergency alert within seconds.
Efficient
MEOLUT-600 provides fast ambiguity resolution of alert beacon signals, especially in geographies where fewer satellites may be seen, leading to more efficient use of SAR resources.
Flexible
MEOLUT-600 systems are fully configurable, making it possible to precisely match the needs of customers.
Standards Compliant
MEOLUT terminals meet and exceed the official COSPAS-SARSAT requirements.
Seamless Integration
Ease-of-integration into existing SAR systems saves you time and money.
Rugged
The MEOLUT antenna’s reinforced radome and aluminum base is corrosion-resistant, providing years of maintenance-free use.
Works in up to 200 km/hour Winds
The low cross-section of the radome enables the antenna to operate in winds of up to 200 km/hour – a crucial requirement during severe weather conditions that typically lead up to emergency situations.
Field-Proven
Our MEOLUT antenna technology has been proven in operational use on many satellite ground station installations around the world, minimizing the risk of interrupted SAR operations.
Product Details
MEOLUT-600 systems are fully configurable. They also exceed COSPAS-SARSAT data analysis requirements, providing fast ambiguity resolution in distress situations.
